Spaghetti con gamberi/Italian-Style Spaghetti with Shrimps

When I was 2/3 years old, I didn't eat almost anything: my stomach couldn't endure the food but  one or two delicacies such as Shrimp Cocktail. Weird, but that's the truth!
Now is the exact opposite of that. I'm still loving shrimp cocktail but my stomach not anymore!
Then, when yesterday I saw those beautiful shrimps at the market  fish, I though about spaghetti...

Italian-Style Spaghetti with Shrimps

Ingredients for 4 servings

1/2 pound spaghetti
1 pound fresh shrimps
10 datterini tomatoes
3 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic,crushed
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/2 cup white wine
black pepper

Peel and devein the shrimps, then bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add spaghetti and cook for 8/10 minutes al dente and drain.

Italian Coffee Breaks



Ok, I admit it: I'm a coffee abuser!
When I wake up in the morning I can't even say a word without a huge cup of coffee.
Then there is the morning coffee break: a small cup of caffè lungo and sport news at the bar. And then there are the lunch coffee and the afternoon one...
Caffè lungo is my favourite one, but sometimes I love to drink caffè con panna or a caffè corretto.

Cupcakes al limone/Lemon Cupcakes with Lemon Butter Cream

Ingredients for 12 cupcakes

1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
1 cup granulated white sugar
1 cup flour
4 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1 lemon zest

Ingredients for Lemon Butter Cream

1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
4 cups icing sugar
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 lemon zest

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and prepare 12 muffin cups with paper liners.
In your electric mixer or with a hand mixer, beat the butter for a while, then add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs, one at a time and beat after each egg and then add the lemon zest. Don't forget to scrape down the sides of the bowl every time you need!

Ciao, mentre sta lievitando la pasta per la focaccia che preparerò per questa sera, ho deciso di regalarvi un veloce post che piacerà ai golosi.
Tra il 29 marzo e il 1 aprile, all'interno della Fiera di Genova, ci sarà Cake Away, una manifestazione dedicata a tutti gli appassionati di dolci.

Tiramisu allo Zabaione/Zabaione Tiramisu

I had some chocolate butter cream left from some cupcakes I baked a few days ago, so yesterday I decided to prepare something sweet because I didn't want to waste my cream!
Therefore I decided to prepare a Zabaione Tiramisu. I like the taste of Marsala wine along with the sweetness of the whipped cream and today my Tiramisu is almost finished!!!!
(look at my conversion table for the quantities).


400 gr. Savoiardi (Ladyfingers) biscuits
100 gr. White Sugar
4 Egg Yolks
8 tbsp Dry Marsala Wine
1 cup fresh Whipped Cream
cocoa powder or chocolate butter cream
3 cups Expresso Coffee

Prepare the coffee, pour it in a bowl, add sugar according to your likes.

Now prepare the Marsala Cream: in a large bowl, whisk the eggs and the sugar until fluffy. Add the marsala spoons one at a time an then cook the cream in a bain-marie. Don't stop whisking and don't bring the cream to boil until the cream will be a bit thicker, then let the cream cool.
Add the whipped cream and stir softly.

If you're walking on the Isle of Kampa or in Mala Strana, you could have lunch at the  Bar-Bar
I's at the end of a narrow street, Vsehrdova 17, and it's a quiet cellar with modern sculptures placed inside some old televisions.

Nodini con limone, arancia e miele/Veal Loin with Lemon, Orange and Honey

Ingredienti per 4 persone

4 nodini di vitello
1 cucchiaio di miele millefiori
Il succo di 1 limone e 1 arancia
1 bicchiere di vino bianco
2 rametti di rosmarino
1 costa di sedano
Olio evo
Sale e pepe

Mischiate bene in una ciotola il succo del limone e dell’arancia, il vino, il sedano finemente tritato, gli aghi di rosmarino, il sale e il pepe.
Infarinate bene i nodini e fateli dorare in una padella con un poco di olio, quindi aggiungete la marinata e fate cuocere per altri 10 minuti circa, finché la carne sarà ben cotta e tenera e la marinata un po’ raddensata.
Servite con un’insalata di finocchi e non dimenticate il pane per la salsa!
In alternativa, servite con del riso bollito al posto del pane.

Ingredients (4 servings)

4 Veal Loins
1 tbsp. Honey
juice of 1 lemon and 1 orange
1 glass White Wine
2 Rosemary Twigs
1 Celery Rib
Extra-Virgin Olive Oil

Mix the juice of 1 lemon and 1 orange, the wine, the honey, the celery finely chopped, the rosemary-needles, the salt and the pepper in a bowl.
